Harold Newman Scholarship Fund

Harold Newman Scholarship Fund

Harold Newman was an amazing saxophone player who was a member of; and founded, The Big Band Association on Long Island, New York in 1969.  Harold also played a variety of wind instruments.  Following his retirement on Long Island, he and his wife Deanna moved to Florida where Harold continued to educate and provide entertainment with other great musicians.  Harold passed away in October 2018 and he will forever be remembered by many.  To keep his love and passion for music alive, please consider donating to this scholarship to provide music education to children who have a financial hardship in school districts around Long Island.

Your contribution will assist Elementary age students who desire to learn music, but have a financial hardship, to participate in three-week Summer Music Programs under the auspices of the Atlantic Wind Symphony, Inc.  The Atlantic Wind Symphony is a not-for-profit corporation under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and bequests, legacies, devises, transfers, or gifts are tax deductible.
